Louis XVI style mahogany flat desk from the late 19th century

Magnificent louis XVI style mahogany flat desk. Late 19th century period. Opening in a belt with two identical drawers, decorated with gilded brass strips on their contours. On the other side, 2 dummy belt drawers. Each of its faces is decorated with gilded brass rods. Drawers with beautiful sized gilded brass pull handles. Each drawer has its own working key. This elegant desk has retractable writing tablets on each side covered in intact brown leather. Its top set in wood (slight discoloration in places), is covered in havana-colored leather with golden edging marked with small irons. Beautiful patina of the leather. See photo. Weathered with time. This desk rests on a tapered, fluted base, ringed with gilded bronze ending in small gilded brass shoes. Height under belt: 63 cm good general state of conservation.
