Roger Capron coffee table

Large oval coffee table to the very original form signed Roger Capron. Brown wooden structure with a tray of ceramics representing a set of fossilized Provence herbs, known as "Herbarium" Documentation: House French 1966. Good condition despite a few small shards of ceramics to the side (see photos). Roger Capron, it's 60 years of creation in the service of his master René Gabriel's motto, and he made his own: "making of beauty within the reach of all." It was after studying drawing Capron orients ceramics and participates in the revival of Vallauris in settling there in 1946. If the shuttle or planet tables had particularly coast in recent years, interest in his reasons animal or floral of simpler allure is reborn. Between praise of nature by the materials and the used themes and deliberately modest style, these tables are representative of part of the work of Roger Carpon, that emphasizes simplicity and expressionism.
