Nautisport oar paddles

This very pretty pair of wooden paddles can of course still be used on the water because these paddles are perfectly functional. But they will also make a very beautiful decorative set to give a “vintage sports” touch to your interior or to the decoration of a business (bar, sports store, gym, etc.). They are made of mahogany-colored varnished wood, with a line of red paint at the end. The end of each is set with a gold metal sleeve nicely patinated by the years (brass I think) which allows them to be assembled. It seems to me that they are from the nautisport brand, they date from the 50s or 60s. They are in very good general condition, solid, functional, the assembly of the two is done perfectly, the wood is not damaged, even at the extremities. But obviously they have the patina of time and marks of use: small spots, small scratches and abrasions, small gaps in the red paint, absence of varnish in places (perhaps they should be revarnished especially if you intend to use them in water, to protect them for many more years), a little bluish corrosion on the metal (which will easily come off if you want to restore its "shine", its shine (and therefore remove the patina) to the gilded brass parts, by rubbing them with fine steel wool. One measures 118.5 cm in length, the other 114.5 cm in length. When assembled, the total length is 228 cm. The blades are slightly curved.the width of the blades is 17.5 cm, the length of the blades is 46 cm.
