Neo-gothic lidded box in patinated bronze decorated with religious scenes

Period: ca. Early 20th century this small box with a rectangular lid is decorated with different religious scenes. Each scene is separated by columns and topped with gothic arches. The metal is dark and is accented with a verdigris copper color; this effect is likely to be intentionally added for the aging effect. The box is very heavy. These boxes have been made, from old reliquary box molds, since the late 19th century and more recently in asia (but these are often made of shiny brass and have less sharp details). I believe this one is likely to be from the early 20th century but it could be older; in any case this version in darker metal with green patina seems to be a rarer version. Condition: good. No damage. Dimensions: 6.6 cm high, 14.3 cm long, 9 cm wide, 1.7 kg.
