Wrought iron and wood armchair, François Liguori, Studio Pescatore
Sculptural armchair by François Liguori for Studio Pescatore, combining a curved metal structure with a round seat in natural wood. This armchair stands out for its particularly airy base, composed of long curved metal rods that create large curves resembling petals or leaves. Their interweaving gives the piece an organic and graphic silhouette, almost plant-like. The low, enveloping backrest extends this metal work. Its openwork frieze is adorned with loop patterns evoking stylised leaves, adding a delicate decorative touch to the whole. The circular wooden seat, with blonde hues and visible grain, contrasts warmly with the dark brown patina of the metal structure. Straddling the line between artist furniture and functional object, this armchair illustrates the unique world of François Liguori, a French artist and designer based in Sète. Through Studio Pescatore, he has been developing furniture and lighting since the late 1980s, characterised by expressive metalwork, sinuous lines, and forms inspired by the plant world. A statement piece that will find its place in an eclectic interior, a contemporary country house, or alongside vintage furniture and artisanal creations. Very good overall condition. The armchair is stable. Some normal signs of use on the wooden seat, visible in the photographs. Dimensions: height 70 cm × width 53 cm × depth 45 cm. Seat height: 46 cm.
