Louis XVI style buffet – Solid mahogany & Carrara marble – Restored

Buffet with two doors in Louis XVI style, made of solid mahogany with a secondary oak structure, topped with a slightly curved white Carrara marble surface veined with grey. The façade is rhythmically adorned with fluted columns featuring moulded capitals and bases, framing a single drawer decorated with golden brass inlays and two round handles in gilded bronze with a rosette motif, along with a central lock entry shaped like a knot. The lower part opens with two moulded panel doors, equipped with finely chiselled brass handles and lock entries; the internal mechanism operates with a locking rod. The tapered and fluted legs end with gilded brass sabot, typical of the Louis XVI ornamental vocabulary. A visible dovetail joint on the side of the drawer attests to the traditional construction of the period. The marble has been polished by a professional stonemason. The piece has been fully restored by the seller's workshops. Overall condition described as perfect. Dimensions: H. 81 cm – W. 110 cm – Weight: 80 kg. Delivery is the responsibility of the buyer.
