“Metafora” coffee table by Lella & Massimo Vignelli for Casigliani

First presented in 1979, the Metafora coffee table captivates with its refined formal language and its references to classical architecture. Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it combines the transparency of a large glass top with the materiality of travertine, used here to shape four geometric volumes. The base consists of a cube, a sphere, a pyramid and a cylinder, all independent and freely positionable, offering a sculptural and evolving composition.
