Sugar bowl in white opaline – 1960s/70s

Elegant small sugar bowl or sweet jar in thick white opaline, likely dating from the 1960s-1970s. The piece features a beautiful rounded shape resting on a small pedestal. Its domed lid is particularly interesting with its concentric relief steps, echoed in the central handle and the base. This construction gives the whole piece a very graphic, almost architectural silhouette. The opaline, in an opaque and luminous white, has that particular softness of old opaque glassware. The light rests on the various reliefs and delicately highlights the curves. Dimensions: H. 12 cm with lid. H. 6.5 cm without lid. Diameter of the body: 11 cm. Diameter of the base: 6.5 cm.
