For sale, a magnificent set of 6 traditional Japanese tea cups (without handles / cup style) made of fine porcelain. This is an official limited edition from Franklin Mint (Franklin Porcelain) released in 1981, created based on the original designs by Japanese artist Kinuko Yamabe. Each cup celebrates a month of the year through traditional Japanese flora. The upper and lower rims are adorned with a blue geometric frieze and stunning 24-carat gold finishes. The set of 6 cups includes: January: Plum Blossom. February: Peach Blossom. March: Peony. April: Cherry Blossom / Sakura. July: Lotus. November: Camellia. Condition: Excellent overall condition. The colours are very fresh and the gilding is bright. (No chips or cracks). Dimensions: Height of approximately 8.2 cm / Diameter of approximately 5.5 cm. Delivery: Very careful shipping in bubble wrap and double cardboard to ensure safe arrival. Hand delivery possible.
