René Gabriel so-called disaster table

oak table and oak veneer, very good condition. Disassembles easily. After the Second World War, René Gabriel was asked to design furniture intended for "disaster victims", those who had lost their homes, generally in bombings. He therefore designed simple, solid, modern furniture. Some of them can be seen in the show apartment of architect Auguste Perret in Le Havre. Apart from some traces of use, the table is in perfect condition.
