Empire salad server decorated with a swan and napoleon palmette, 19th century.

This magnificent empire salad server is made up of a fork and a spoon. These old cutlery dates from the 19th century and were intended for serving salads. This place setting presents a neoclassical napoleon III decoration with a swan with outstretched wings in the center of a diamond, palmettes and ribbons. This serving utensil is made of filled silver and horn. There are illegible hallmarks. In good general condition, this cutlery measures approximately 27.5 cm. I point out traces of oxidation and wear on the horn.
