A polychrome ceramic standing bowl decorated with geometric patterns signature intaglio on the reverse lucien bridoux, numbered 123 period: circa 1940 dimensions: height 7 cm; diameter 22 cm very good condition ref adequantik 2401091 lucien brisdoux (1878-1963), french ceramist. After taking over his father's factory, he created his own workshop in 1927, assisted by his colleague fernand laurent (1885-1946). His production is devoted to cast decorative stoneware and he therefore concentrates his research on numerous tests of earths and glazes, which benefited in particular raoul lachenal in 1924-1925, or lucien arnaud in the 1930s. He sold his business in 1956.
