Art Deco bust 1920

This patinated plaster bust dating from the 20s probably represents a young dancer, to whom mucha gave the name of lygie during the creation of a ballet inspired by the characters of the artist's posters in march 1901 at the folies bergère in paris, for which he participated in the staging, sets and costumes. A delightful piece, authentic as to its age and in excellent condition.
