A lovely pair of candlesticks featuring a design by well-known dutch illustrator marjolein bastin. The design depicts several kinds of fruit: cranberries, blueberries, blackberries and rose hip. It is part of a series of drawings that bastin originally made for the dutch magazine "libelle" in the 1980s. Those drawings were used by the british pottery firm j & g meakin, a member of the wedgwood group, to design a line of tableware. The candlestick holders are in perfect condition. They have no chips, cracks or even signs of wear. They are 10 cm tall and 9.5 wide at the base.
