Burgundian farmhouse table in walnut, France early 19th century.

Very beautiful farmhouse table from the early 19th century. A Burgundian model that was found in winegrowers' houses, it is entirely made of walnut with four square-section legs that taper slightly. The legs have been, as with all tables of this lower era, raised (heightened to adapt the table to current heights). Width 193.5 cm, depth 74 cm, and height at the tabletop 75 cm (with a frieze height of 13 cm). Of very high quality with a superb honey patina revealing the passage of time (some natural marks of use on the tabletop adding charm and authenticity), this table can accommodate up to 10 guests for good times with family or friends.
