Laundry by the river, India circa 1960

Launderers or dhobi walla according to the hindi word by a river in rajasthan. You have to see them hitting and twisting the laundry, a familiar sight for the traveler. The long saris, seven meters long, are then spread on the banks that they cover with their motifs.
