Geographic Wall Map of Portugal

A major element of vintage are the maps and posters, whether they are scientific posters, geographic maps, botany or zoology charts, being original, they are always differentiating pieces. Therefore this original portuguese geographic map of portugal, published in the 1960's, is an interesting, original and rare object. It is a school map used to study the geography of continental and insular portugal. This map is quite complete with all the cities and towns, with the road and rail connections between the different cities and towns. It also shows the administrative distribution of the country by regions. Indication and comparison of the height of the mountains indicated in the lower right corner. Besides the geography this map shows other data such as the population for each region and city. This map is very complete, with a lot of information about the country at that time, because it was used as a study tool. The map is subtitled (see photographs) in portuguese. The map rolls up and down with the two wooden beams at the ends. The paper is quite pliable, not too thick and is reinforced on the back with cloth (maybe linen). As you can see in the photos, the paper has the marks of being rolled, with creases and small tears, where you can see the tissue, mainly in the upper left side. You can also see the damp stains on the front of the paper and on the back of the linen fabric. The wood also shows signs of use and has parts of paint and varnish peeled off (see detailed photographs). Despite the signs of age and use it is a map is still in good vintage condition. It also seems to me that it is a little discolored due to light, although the paper has a protective film. Being original, this map carries with it all the marks of time and use.
