Slope Secretary in Elm Burl. An authentic Georgian-style slope secretary. A character piece that will endure through generations without showing signs of age. > Its façade in elm burl veneer (as seen on the drawers) > The sloping fall front that locks, which unfolds to reveal a secret workspace equipped with small compartments. > The four large stacked drawers, as generous as they are practical. > The original drop handles and patinated brass lock entries, witnesses of time. > The original ornate key, provided with the piece. Condition. A second-hand piece of very fine craftsmanship, stable and solid, with veneer that has remarkably withstood the years. Some naturally occurring signs of use are visible, particularly at the bottom of the feet (see photos).
