Description
The two raviers are in very good condition, no accidents, no cracks or splinters. The ceramic has remained white, but we can see in a photo that one of the two raviers has some very light beige spots in the background. The enamel is very fresh, no stripes, it seems that these raviers have served very little. The emerald green decal pattern of laurel garlands embellished with rosehip flowers unfolds on the marli on each side of the ravier symmetrically. It is a classic, light and graceful pattern and it corresponds to the service called lutetia. The raviers are marked on the reverse of the mark of the longchamp earthenware factory, the same color as the pattern. The earthenware factory bore the name of the village of burgundy where it had been created in the nineteenth century, not far from dijon. Iron earth, also known as opaque porcelain had previously been developed in england at the end of the eighteenth century by josiah wedgwood.
