Carved and moulded solid wood commode in the Louis XV style.

Charming commode in moulded and carved solid wood in the Louis XV style. Circa 1900. It opens at the front with three drawers featuring brass handles, finely chiselled. It is topped with a solid wood surface, moulded with a Corbin beak, following the curved line of the piece. It rests on long, slightly curved legs ending in small scrolls. Perfect stability. The lower crossbar is beautifully shaped and carved with a floral relief decoration. It has sides with moulded panels known as bishop's chapel style. In excellent general condition with a lovely waxed finish patina. Ideal dimensions for an entrance or a bedroom.
