Pedrera PD2 Floor Lamp
Designed in 1955 by Spanish architect Barba Corsini, La Pedrera was born during the renovation of the attic of Casa Milà (La Pedrera) by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona. Corsini created 13 modern duplexes there, along with the furniture and lighting that equipped them. Its shape evokes the cylindrical chimneys on the roof of the building. This official Gubi reissue bears the engraved signature on the structure. The black matte perforated steel lampshade rests on a steel wire tripod, with a white paper inner diffuser. When lit, the lamp casts a warm and soft light through the perforations. It is as sculptural when off as it is when on. Designer: Barba Corsini. Publisher: Gubi. Dimensions: H 113 cm, Ø 39 cm. E27 socket, 3 m cable. Condition: good condition, fully functional. Slight signs of use on the inner diffuser at the joint, invisible when the lamp is on. A second identical lamp (without diffuser) is also available, feel free to contact me.
