Speckled blown glass vase

Mottled blown glass vase. Blown glass vase with an ovoid, bulging body and flared opening with a thick lip. The murrine or mottled decoration is achieved by including white and milky pink glass discs and drops within a matrix of clear glass, creating a two-tone effect in depth. The irregular distribution of the inclusions, denser towards the base and more elongated towards the neck, is characteristic of free-blown hot work. Unmarked base, slightly flattened without a visible pontil. This type of white mottled decoration on a light background evokes Murano productions from the 1960s-1970s, as well as European glassworks that adopted these techniques (Czechoslovakia, France). Without label or signature, the precise attribution remains uncertain. Height: 20 cm. Diameter: 17 cm. Excellent condition, without chips, cracks, or fissures.
