Vintage varnished table with extensions 1955

Varnished table with extensions from the year 1955; very beautiful design, close to art deco, a classic of the "fifties"! Was part of the set of furniture purchased by my parents at their wedding in 1955 when they moved to westphalia (germany) - high quality furniture ordered from a local manufacturer. The wood of the table does not show shocks: traces of logical wear for a piece of furniture that has been used every day for nearly 70 years; on the other hand, the varnish of the tray is a little frosted in places - it is likely that it would be possible to have it repolished without the need to revarnish it, just to restore its shine without removing its beautiful patina! The extensions are hidden under the main tray (simply placed on the structure) and are very easy to maneuver. In the folded position, the dimensions of the tray are 120 X 90 cm, so well accommodating. With the 2 extensions, the length increases to 216 cm. The table assembles in 5 minutes without any tools or fixation. The 6 matching chairs are available separately on one of my ads (unless sold in the meantime...); do not hesitate to take a look: they have been redone recently and are really worth the detour!
