This wall light is a bold statement piece from the 1970’s. It is believed to be designed by the renown glass designer jaroslav bejvl (1941 - 2016). The light was produced and made at the kamenicky senov factory in former czechoslovakia - a country with a great and long tradition in producing top quality glasswork. A very high level of craftsmanship was required to make this thick blown glass bulbous shape, with the subtle detailing of the small ‘droplets’ placed around within the glass. The wall light consists of the main glass bulb which is protected by a single oval brass plate that sails over the glass and is fixed by a minimal screw on the top part. The brass base itself has a switch button and holds the bulb as well as the glass. This light can be hung on the wall or ceiling but also can be rewired and be used as a table light. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with some minor natural wear gained over the years on the brass frame and the base. All parts are original and fully functional.
