Fruit basket basket

This pretty, slightly flared basket with handles can be used as a fruit basket but will also find many other uses around the house. The wicker comes in two colors, the usual “golden straw” and strands tending to red (perhaps another variety of wicker or a technique of coloring the strands before weaving). It is an artisanal work, dating from the 70s or 80s, probably made by a traveling basket maker, we see a price of 30 francs written in very small letters under the basket. I cleaned it carefully with a brush and soapy water. It is in good condition for its age, still solid, but has a few broken strands and a few small permanent stains. It measures 33 cm in diameter at the upper edge, 26 cm in diameter at the lower edge, 37 cm in maximum width including handles, 10 cm in height at the edge and 16 cm in height at the handles.
