Pair of chests of drawers or bedside tables in wood burl, 20th century.

A lovely pair of matching small commodes in a stylish design, made from wood veneer, reflecting the codes of the Louis XVI style. Period: second half of the 20th century. Ideal dimensions for use as bedside tables or accent furniture. They stand out with a classic and refined design, harmoniously blending the warmth of wood with the nobility of stone. They are topped with a thick, inset marble, intact, in shades of rosy-orange beige mixed with grey tones. They open at the front with two drawers fitted with drop handles in patinated brass. The lower crossbar is beautifully cut and sculpted with drapery motifs and festooned garlands. They rest on tapered legs with fluting. In overall good condition. Please note there are old signs of insect bites; the furniture has been treated preventively.
