Charming little vintage selfish teapot in glazed ceramic, made in Czechoslovakia. Its round and compact shape, combined with a graphic brown and beige gradient airbrush decoration, makes it a beautiful example of Eastern European design from the 1960s–1970s. Rare modernist triangular pattern and a warm hue: evoke the softened brutalist aesthetic of period pottery — both geometric and organic. Stamped Made in Czechoslovakia under the base. Height 9 cm, spout handle length 14.5 cm, diameter 9 cm, depth 6.5 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, shiny glaze, a chip on the inner rim of the teapot and a hairline crack on the lid handle (see photos). At the crossroads of Scandinavian design and Central European craftsmanship for a cosy mid-century touch.
