Napoleon III style marquetry cylinder desk

French cylinder desk from the early 20th century. Napoleon III style furniture richly inlaid with floral decorations in mahogany, walnut, maple, bone and precious woods. Desk equipped with an external front drawer, a retractable desk compartment with 4 drawers and a sliding top (see photo) of good size and service. Missing a knob from an internal drawer (see photo). Furniture adorned in the lower part with feet and decorative elements in carved and gilded wood (see photo). Ideal desk to be placed on the wall, (inlaid on three sides) but can also be positioned in the center of a living room or studio. Furniture for antique dealers and interior decorators, constructed in two separable bodies. Upper body that offers three support shelves, also inlaid, of discreet size and service. It presents small lacks of decoration and some signs of aging (see photo), structurally sound and in a beautiful patina. Complete with working key, overall in average conservative condition.
