9 Blown glass wine glasses with cut bee decoration – Verrerie Thouvenin Vierzon

2827 - early 20th century, this set of 9 wine glasses (white wine or port) in blown glass with a cut bee motif attributed to the glassworks of vierzon-les fils d'adrien thouvenin in good condition. They would be exhibited at the museum of this city in the art of fire section. Parison cut with polished/frosted patterns of 4 bees with open wings, straw leg and smooth round foot. Ideal gift for a beekeeper but also for all those who revere this insect essential to the pollination of a large number of plants thus producing many of the fruits that we consume. Height 122mm X 58mm. Weight 715g. Careful and tracked shipping. For information, taken over in 1887 by paul and albert thouvenin, a former glassworks in vierzon (centre-val de loire) which became the thouvenin & cie company closed its doors in 1957.
