Extendable Floor Lamp by Ignazio Gardella for Azucena, 1950

The iconic adjustable lamp was designed by the famous Italian architect and designer Ignazio Gardella in the early 1950s. The name "Alzabile" means adjustable; thanks to a comfortable mechanism, the height can be varied according to different needs. It is a clear but highly refined example of Gardella's design creativity. Materials include a lacquered aluminum diffuser, brass, and marble.
