Amanta coffee table in fiberglass by Mario Bellini for C et B, Italy 1960. very beautiful patina. Height: 37 cm length 88, depth: 85 cm Mario Bellini was born in 1935 in Milan where he graduated in Architecture in 1959 at the Polytechnic School. His design activity began in 1963 as a consultant for the industrial design of Olivetti. He founded the Mario Bellini Associati, which later became Mario Bellini Architects, with its internationally renowned headquarters in Milan. He has been awarded the Golden Compass eight times; he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Chartered Society of Designers and the Honorary Title of Designer for Industry of the RSA, both English awards; in 2004, he received the Gold Medal from the President of the Italian Republic; in 2011, the Gold Medal of Benemerenza Civica of the City of Milan (Ambrogino d'Oro); in 2015 the Gold Medal for Career for Architecture from the Milan Triennale which dedicated a vast retrospective to him in January 2017.
