His preferred printmaking technique is screen printing, but stylistically his works resemble traditional japanese paintings (“nihon-ga”) which combine bright colors and gold leaf. Souho ikegami was born in 1940 in kurume town, fukueka prefecture, kyushu island. He graduated from musashino university of fine arts. In 1965, he became an illustrator for an advertising and publishing company. The artist has exhibited in spain and japan, notably during the annual cwaj print show exhibitions in tokyo. The colors he uses are generally strong. His images have a modern pop-art touch. This is not surprising: he has worked for many years in the advertising and written press sector. Signed - soho.
