Napoleon iii crystal vase with gilt bronze mounts

Period: ca. Late 19th century this vase dates from the napoleon III period. The body is lightly faceted clear crystal and has a rudimentary star-shaped pattern at the bottom. It is decorated with several openwork frames in gilded bronze: the base has a frieze of greek-style palmettes and the upper edge a frieze with classical motifs. The two central sides have a column topped with a cartouche shape with incredibly detailed ribbons and flowers. Condition: good. No damage. The top ring moves a little. It is an old item and therefore signs of use such as micro scratches can be expected. Dimensions: 20.3 cm high, 7.5 cm diameter base, 0.235 kg.
