Dining table

Pretty table of almost square shape, all in solid wood, it is rustic but with beautiful details that make us think that it is not a simple farmhouse table: the legs are worked: pretty vertical lines, the edge of the tray is also worked. It was made by a cabinetmaker from oiron (like the château de oiron in the deux-sèvres!) whose stamp can be seen when you pull on the sides that are used to lengthen it. Because it is a table that can be extended on two sides, to make a very large rectangular table, by pulling on the structure, but unfortunately the extensions are missing, but it is relatively simple and probably not too expensive to have made by a cabinetmaker. Perhaps he could take the opportunity to cure some of his small "problems". Indeed, it is in its juice, with the patina of years and intensive use. At home, it is the children who have "scribbled" with felt on it (i imagine that a professional will know how to make these traces disappear). It also has many other various brands, including "scratches" quite deep on the feet, but nevertheless remains very solid, and usable as is. It measures 105 cm by 115 cm, for a height of 73 cm. You can easily put 8 guests, but it goes up to 10 without the extensions, and probably easily up to 14 with extension cords! It must weigh within 50 kilos (it takes two people to lift it).
