Thomas Cartier terracotta bear book holder

Very beautiful solitary bookend/bookend, in terracotta, old signed thomas cartier (1879-1943), depicting a bear slumped on a support. 15.5cm in length, 19.3cm in height, 10cm in depth. Please note, this object has been restored, with cooked and raw red clay, this piece was in poor condition (detached from its base, soiled with traces of glue and dirt, an ear and part of the nose were missing) right ear was redone, as well as the left side of the nose, the bear was glued back to the earthed base and a film of earth was passed over the entire surface to restore the uniformity of the color after having been cleaned, a transparent/white patina was also applied to the entire piece in order to protect it, shiny with slightly modernized whitened areas, all the restorations were done by myself (amateur), they are solid and quite clean, the ear and nostril are a little different from the original but this is a little less visible in reality than in the photo. The whole thing is solid again and the piece will not come loose from the base. About 2kg.
