Nancy Baccarat glasses

Baccarat crystal red wine glass, nancy model. Created in cut crystal in 1867, the nancy service was presented at the nancy international fair - which gave it its name - in 1908. The model has been listed in every baccarat tableware catalog since. It is one of the crystal factory's great successes. With its pure lines and its beveled diamond-cut pattern, the nancy model has become almost emblematic of baccarat glass production, alongside the harcourt model in strong crystal, the symbol of the crystal factory featured on the stamp. It has been produced in many forms: catalogs list, depending on the year, several pages of articles from the nancy model. Production of both the goblet and balloon versions was very abundant; the products in the range are each very numerous: 9 sizes of glasses, from the large water glass to the small liqueur glass, not to mention carafes and shaped pieces. The success of the model extended its production for quite a long time, until the end of the 20th century for balloon glasses. Today, the crystal factory continues to follow the model declined in orangeade glasses, whisky glasses, whisky decanters. Our glass, produced before 1936, does not bear the baccarat signature: before this date, it was a paper label which served as a stamp, which came off after a few washes.
