Danish daybed in teak and black leather by Horsens Mobelfabrik, 1960s

Danish mid-century modern daybed in teak, made by horsens møbelfabrik in the 1960s, exposes the essence of mid-century design - proper proportions and functionality. The manufacturer’s label is preserved. The wood frame veneered in teak and new black aniline leather upholstery make this mid-century bed stylish and comfortable. It shows excellent craftsmanship in suitably selected teak wood matching in all parts and brass details. The bed features a quilted mattress in black leather upholstery with new foam inside and two decorative bolsters. The mattress rests on horizontal springs across the bed frame. The daybed is in fantastic condition after a full renovation. The wood has been treated with danish oil layers, and all the springs have been checked. There is a small teak inlay on bottom corner, it is barely visble though. Additional dimensions: Seat height: 40 cm. Mattress h: 9/w: 189/d: 84 cm. Bolsters dimensions h: 15/w: 83/d: 16 cm.
