Christian Liaigre, French discreet luxury

Christian Liaigre (1943-2020) is one of the greatest French designers and interior architects at the turn of the 21st century. Trained at the École Camondo, he founded his studio in 1985 and developed a signature immediately recognisable: muted colour palette, noble materials (patinated bronze, matte leather, smoked oak), tense architectural lines. His Augustin and Mathilde sofas, Cyclades armchairs and bronze lamps equip the most demanding interiors, from the Mercer Hotel in New York to private residences from Hong Kong to Paris.
