Yves Christin, French designer of the Seventies
Yves Christin is a French designer active in the 1970s and 80s, whose production of moulded plastic and fibreglass furniture fits within the pop vein of French design of the period. Closely linked to Airborne and Baleri Italia, he signed the Baby Relax armchair and Cigogne chair, two pieces where lacquered plastic and vivid colours composed a joyful and accessible signature. A confidential but identifiable production, dialoguing with that of Marc Held and Roger Tallon in the French pop design vein.
