Kohn armchair n°715, design by Gustave Siegel, model proven in 1899. The construction of the 715 is easily recognizable by its front legs which are the extension of the top of the backrest, in a single piece of wood, it is the archetype of a whole series of armchairs and benches at Kohn and 'Thonet-Mundus from 1900 until 1940, always very appreciated. Thank you Mr. Siegel who was then only 20 years old!! Excellent condition of cabinetwork. Mahogany shellac. Single piece of wood, it is the archetype of a whole series of armchairs and benches at Kohn and Thonet-Mundus. The current upholstery is in good condition and clean. However our upholsterer can reupholster this armchair with real Backhausen fabric. Choice of 2 patterns possible. Upon request, I will send you the available Backhausen fabrics and the overall upholstery quote. Remarkable original brass legs. Seat height: 47 cm, total height: 80 cm, depth: 53 cm, width: 55 cm.
