Rare table lamp by Architectural Lighting designed by the famous industrial designer Peter Nelson in the 1960s. The design language and materiality of Nelson's creations reflect his background in the aerospace industry. Aluminium is a "signature material" with precision and engineering-like treatment. His light fixtures are characterised by a purist aesthetic inherent in functional and technical details. A particular detail is the finely and delicately crafted rod made of solid material to which the spotlight is attached. The substantial cable routing along the rod is also noteworthy. The lamp's clamp has several threads to accommodate the rod and can thus be used in two directions. Light wear consistent with age and use, patina consistent with age and use.
