Vintage Chinese lacquer secretary desk with mother-of-pearl

This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. During the 1970s, such furniture was made, and no two are the same. All elements are applied by hand, always giving it an artistic touch. You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. The front and sides depict traditional Chinese scenes with noble women dressed in beautiful robes in stunning gardens with temples in the background, illustrated with soapstone. The inside of the flap is painted with bamboo. Inside, you will find a beautiful removable compartment cabinet.
