Designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors in 1964, this bookcase reflects the sensibility of Swedish design during the 1960s through its light structure, warm materials and carefully balanced composition of open and closed elements. Open shelving, enclosed storage sections and an upper cabinet with glass doors create a highly graphic rhythm while maintaining a visually light presence. Particularly striking is the contrast between the pale oak and the olive-green interior elements, a detail that gives the piece additional depth and character. Integrated handles and slim uprights preserve the clean and linear appearance typical of Bodafors production from this period. Original maker’s label present. Good condition.
