Superb 19th-century solid bronze fireplace fender, modelled after the Médicis vase and shell. *Exact measurements: * Height of the chenets: 49 cm (large château model) Length of the bar alone: 113 cm. Total width when assembled: ∼120-150 cm depending on adjustment. Weight: 11 kg for the pair (solid bronze) Marked on the back BD 539 (see photo) - old foundry. Beautiful natural greenish-grey patina developed over time, in its original condition. Leafy decoration, palmette, beads. With 2 original hooks for fire tools on the chenets. Styled with a cast iron plate (plate not included, just to show the effect in a stone fireplace) In very good condition, complete. Ideal for a Provençal farmhouse fireplace, bastide, or château.
