Vintage drink service in pyrite stoneware – Claude Passy (Vallauris) –

Superb and rare service for orangeade, water, or wine in vintage stoneware, signed by the ceramist Claude Passy for the famous workshop in Vallauris. A magnificent collector's piece, a perfect embodiment of the brutalist movement and the return to nature of the 1970s. This complete set consists of a tall, large jug and its 6 matching flared cups. Its superb raw texture in pyritic stoneware is adorned with a textured beige glaze in brown hues and delicate speckles characteristic of the artist's work. Each piece bears the typical incised signature under the base: the intertwined stamped monogram "CP" (see photos). Ideal for collectors of Vallauris ceramics or to enhance a table with a bohemian, rustic-chic, and wabi-sabi atmosphere. Style: Vallauris / Brutalist / Mid-century / 1970s. Artist: Claude Passy.
