From his travel watercolors, 248 lithographs grouped in six volumes describe egypt, nubia, the holy land, syria, arabia, and were produced at the time on stone by the famous topographer louis haghe and his team for 7 years. Here is represented a fountain with women carrying jars to fill water and a group of travelers resuming the journey on donkeys. It is inscribed on the lower right fountain of the virgin, april 21, 1839 and on the left under the pass everywhere david roberts. A very pretty mat enhances the lithograph as well as a pretty burgundy and glazed frame. Very good condition, with just a small shock on the side of the frame.
