Rare set of 6 mugs or large stoneware cups made in the pottery workshop of la colombe, created by madeleine brault renowned ceramist, in orriule (pyrénées atlantiques 64) Production from the 50s to 60s sold largely at the time in the stores of vallauris. Glazed stoneware in putty beige tones punctuated by dark green and brown spots. Corresponds to the period of tachism in france, an abstract painting movement widespread in the 50s. Clean, raw form. The pieces are all slightly different especially in the patterns, because of the artisanal manufacture. Signature stamp under all feet. The handle is placed in an original way in the bottom of the cup. In perfect condition. Height 11 cm. Diameter 8 cm (11 cm with handle).
