Mid-century rocking chair by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler, 1960s

Filigree rocking chair by the Danish manufacturer FDB Møbler, designed by Børge Mogensen in the 1960s. The filigree structure is made of walnut. The backrest is moulded and consists of spokes that extend forward to support the armrests. The elaborate connections between the solid wood elements, particularly the penetration of the spokes into the armrests, are remarkable. The upholstery and straps have been completely renewed. The right cushion is covered in a highly textured blue linen fabric. The cushion is symmetrical and usable on both sides. The chair is in very good condition with signs of wear. The upholstery and straps have been professionally renewed.
