Important carved wooden library in Renaissance style, dating from the 19th century, remarkable for the richness of its architectural decoration. It opens at the front with two large doors adorned with panels of pleated yellow fabric. The façade is rhythmically structured by three imposing carved uprights in high relief: the side uprights are decorated with female caryatids, while the central upright features a bearded male mask extended with motifs of fruits, foliage, and stylised ornaments. The upper part is particularly elaborate with a wide frieze carved with rosettes set within interlacing patterns, topped with rows of dentils, flutes, and mouldings. The whole is crowned with a significant overhanging cornice. The lower part rests on two richly carved front feet featuring scrolls and rosettes. The interior, fully lined with yellow fabric, includes several shelves providing substantial storage capacity. The backs of the doors are also dressed in pleated fabric. A particularly decorative display piece, characteristic of the historicist taste for French and Italian Renaissance in the 19th century. Period: 19th century. Style: Neo-Renaissance. Material: Carved wood. Decoration: Caryatids, mask, rosettes, fruits, foliage, and interlacing. Condition: Generally good condition for its age, wear and signs of use; later interior lining. Dimensions: Height: 163 cm. Width: 177 cm. Depth: 69 cm.
