Model n°20 called "Omega" in the half format, designed by Thonet from 1875 and here provided by Lebrun, France. Overall curves as beautiful as on beautiful Thonet. Perfect condition, stable and reliable. They were manufactured between 1880 and 1905 in the chair "veuve lebrun" in Saint Loup sur Semouse (Haute-Saône) which was one of the most important wood-curved company in France behind baumann.a label is present under each piece) Seat height: 46 cm, seat diameter: 39 cm total height: 88 cm. The front legs are mounted and assembled under a patent similar to Kohn's, perhaps more elaborate. Cannage refurbished manually with an industrial cane designed for this purpose in Germany or the use is common in restoration. Cotton yarn canning has been designed as an alternative to counter the problem of supply and variable quality of rattan, but also to offer a more durable solution for your chair seats in traditional canning. Cotton yarn has many advantages. Of a natural appearance and touch, it is of a homogeneous quality. Essentially made from cotton, it is reinforced by a polymer filament that gives it great elasticity. Your cannage will therefore keep its initial tension and allow you to keep your seats more beautiful and robust, longer. Original color: blackened oak, well patinated. More photos and information on request. Parcel France and Europe or alsace pick-up.
